Reserves Working Bees 2017

Working Bee Details

Participating in a working bee is a great way to care for the environment, meet your neighbours, and enjoy the creek and its lovely surrounds.

Frequency of the working bees is very much determined by community participation .  In addition to the work carried out by members and volunteers, special working bees may also involve local community groups.

Most of the work is manual, but relatively light.  Necessary tools are supplied, but you do need to wear suitable attire, especially footwear and sun protection please.  Children are always welcome, but do need to be supervised by an adult.  Our work sites are in reserves and therefore are not serviced by fresh water or toilets; please bear this in mind when planning to attend a working bee.

1. Southern Group – Beach St – Mile Bridge

When: 1st Sunday of month: 9 am – 12. (Not January.)
Meet: At the creek footbridge at Fiocchi Ave,
Frankston (opposite Officeworks).
Contact: Paul 0413 404 525.

2. Central Group – Mile Bridge – Station St

These are currently on hold until adequate volunteers can be found to staff working bees. If you’d like to host a working bee in this area please contact Paul 0413 404 525.

3. Northern Group – Station St – Eel Race Rd

These are currently on hold until adequate volunteers can be found to staff working bees. If you’d like to host a working bee in this area please contact Paul 0413 404 525.

Mid-week is definitely an option for working bees if there is community interest and involvement.
