Clean Up Australia Day 2013

Clean Up Australia Day 2013

The 30th Annual Clean Up Australia Day.
To mark this milestone the Kananook Creek Association will be hosting clean up sites at 3 locations along the creek. The sites will be based at Station Street, Seaford just opposite the RSL, McCulloch Avenue footbridge, also in Seaford and the Fiocchi Avenue footbridge in Frankston. All sites will run from 9.00 am to noon. The KCA is looking to see a good turnout at all sites to help clean up pathways and the reserves adjoining the creek. People with kayaks or canoes are also encouraged to participate as there is inevitably rubbish caught up in branches overhanging the creek. This is a wonderful opportunity to put something back into your beautiful community by helping make the place even more beautiful.

All you need to bring is solid shoes, gloves and protection from the sun. The KCA will supply bags and litter drop points.
Children are also encouraged to attend, providing they have adult supervision.
There’s no need to put in the full 3 hours, even an hour or two is greatly appreciated.
